Time is flying by....
I cannot believe that this week is over, and that it has been five weeks since this course started. Blogging is not one of my strengths, but I am enjoying reading everyone’s blog. Everyone has a blog that looks great. I am trying to tinker with mine and figure out a fancy background that I like. I am a person that likes things very simple and am usually very laid back. These last couple weeks have been nothing close to easy going. I still do not know what grade I am teaching next year, not exactly sure what writing piece I want to use for our final project, and my landlord just told me I am getting a new roof on my place on Tuesday. So much for everything going back to normal this week. I will be enjoying the last couple weeks of school. I still cannot believe another school year is coming to a close. Crunch time is upon us and oh yeah, one more state test to give on Monday morning. At times it feels like it will never end and I would love to sit and watch a baseball game, watch the Lakers in the NBA finals, or even throw a few lures in the lake for a while. Knowing that I am pretty busy with work right now, I cannot imagine how some of our fellow bloggers out there can get their work done and take care of their families. Enough on here, I’ve still got some work to do.

Brannigan,
ReplyDeleteDon't you mean you wish you could sit and watch the Celtics in the NBA finals?!?! Ha! Ha! Just kidding. My husband is sitting in the other room watching the game right now and I am listening with one ear!
Sorry to hear that you don't know yet which grade level you will be teaching next year. I'm sure that is a tremendous distraction for you.
What are you considering for our final writing piece?
~Julie
Brannigan,
ReplyDeleteI know it is a busy time for all of us, some of us are out of school while others are finishing up this week. I am sorry to hear that you do not know what you are teaching next year. I am in the process of getting ready to move across the country and I have know idea what I am going to be doing or what I am going to be teaching. The uncertanity can drive you crazy. Amidst all the craziness what are you going to do for your writing piece? Are you going to further work on the poem you published earlier or are you planning to do something different?
Brannigan,
ReplyDeleteI hope you soon get word on what grade you will be teaching. The good news is that you have a job. Sometimes I wonder how we get through the day with all the craziness. In reading all the blogs, even in the other groups, it seems that everyone has a lot going on and we all feel the stress in one way or another. Working, raising families, taking classes, moving, getting married, getting divorced, having babies, and many other things that we all encounter make for a stressful life. Having wonderful friends, family and children have kept me strong and continue to help me through. I think sometimes it helps just to hear others have similar concerns as well. I alsways try to remember a quote that was used by my daughter's eighth grade teacher. He reminded his students that, "yesterday was history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a golden opportunity."
